Having first received acupuncture in the early 90’s, I’ve has always considered Eastern Medicine, and complementary therapies, a first port of call for most ailments. I have seen first-hand (both in my own family, and with clients) how Eastern Medicine can help alleviate symptoms & provide relief to those who fail to find solutions elsewhere.
As an I.T. worker in the city, I suffered from occasional bouts of back & shoulder problems – as many office workers do. I became a regular client of the clinic at the Academy of Oriental Medicine, and it was here that my passion to learn more about this discipline began.
Studying part-time, I completed a Diploma in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in 2013. In this same year I worked at the Academy as an assistant & provided holiday cover at the clinic. Since then, I have practised privately, and at Blisski Clinic in Charlton. In 2022, I completed further qualifications in Chinese Herbal Medicine.
I am a registered acupuncturist, co-founder & board member of the Tibetan and Eastern Medicine Association (TEMA), UK, and a registrant of the British Acupuncture Federation.
As part of my diploma, I visited Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals in Beijing, China. And as part of my continuing studies, I travel regularly to India to further study acupuncture & Tibetan medicine under Dr. Passang Thopchen at his clinic in Pune.
Eastern medicine can be used to treat an extensive range of ailments, both structural and internal, and each treatment is tailored to the individual.
